Homemade, it depends on chemicals.

Both potassium bicarbonate and potassium carbonate can be used in fire extinguishers, but potassium bicarbonate is more commonly used and is particularly effective for Class B and C fires. It's often found in “Purple-K” extinguishers.

While potassium carbonate can also be used, it's typically found in specialized liquid fire suppression systems for grease fires.
