IT:AD:Online Web Databases

The title is not very accurate – online databases can cover similar territory as online spreadsheets and documents.

IT:AD:AirTable
- Advantages:
  - Price: Has a free price offering.
- Considerations:
  - Embedding:
    - Embedding the information directly into a webpage is via IFrame (not as seamless as …)
    - Cannot be pre-filtered (it's up to the end user.
    * Zoho
- Advantages:
  - Can export directly to excel (bypassing CSV).
- Considerations:
  - Cannot export to word.
- Disadvantages:
  - Filtering: Does not appear to have a way to filter records prior to exporting.
  - Lossy: The export to Excel is polluted with html tags (not rich MS bold, etc.).
IT:AD:DokuWiki
- Advantages:
  - Powerful
- Disadvantages:
  - Too arcane to get any traction.
