An incident is an event that can lead to service disruption or outage. Incidents can be prioritized to minimize the impact while returning to normal state. An incident of critical analysis culminating in service restoration, with effective communication to those affected. Complete with a lessons learnt.

Incident Response Team perform the fix, while the Incident Management Team manage the various stakeholders.
