Summary
An acronym for a format in which to define actionable Requirements, which in themselves should be IT:AD:SMART
Note
Objective
:- What is the desired outcome?
*
Context
:- Under what circumstances is this requirement applicable?
*
Rational
:- Why?
References
:- Where can one find information to understand what to do, and how to do it?
Acceptance
:- What defines whether the above has been applied correctly?
ACID
- Advantages:
- Improves on IT:AD:PLANGUAGE: in that Context is defined.
- Considerations:
- Has Context - but does specify not have Exceptions of the Context.
- Disadvantages:
- Doesn't have Tag defined, to differentiate it from Objective.
- Objective is unclear to some extent as it can interpreted as the Quality desired, or the Action desired.
See IT:AD:ART ICE for a small improvement.
Resources
- IT:AD:New Zealand Information Security Manual uses something akin to “OCCR”, without the “A”.
