• Go to https://npmjs.org/

Update it by opening a IT:AD:CLI:

    npm update -g npm

There is no MAN (Unix) on Windows, but search works, although the first time it has to download files:

    Specify configs in the ini-formatted file:
        C:\Users\Sky\.npmrc
    or on the command line via: npm <command> --key value
    Config info can be viewed via: npm help config

    npm@1.1.63 C:\Program Files\nodejs\node_modules\npm

    C:\Users\Sky>npm search express
