Enable OEM unlock:
- Under Settings
- Under Developer Options
- Check “Enable OEM Unlock”
To install a custom ROM, the device needs to have root permissions.

  - Download & install https://developer.android.com/studio to your PC to get a copy of ADB (Android Debug Bridge) installed
  - Connect computer to android
  - Open cmd prompt and type: adb reboot bootloader
  - Your phone will be restarted and it will boot into bootloader mode.
  - At cmd prompt type: fastboot oem unlock [unlock code]
