  • Log onto the k2 server
  • run BrokerManagement tool under C:\Program Files (x86)\K2 blackpearl\ServiceBroker
  • Right click on SqlServerService service type and create new service instance.
  • Change the New Service Instance details as the following. Leave other fields not listed in the following table as the default value.

NOTE: if this is the first time that the instance is created the GUID should be random, keep that value but in other deployment targets this will need to remain the same GUID as first created

Description Provides K2 blackpearl with the capabilities required to interface with Microsoft SQL Server. 
  • Go to the web front end (where workspace is installed) and open the smartobject tester.
  • Navigate to ServiceObject Explorer → SQL Server Service → Lending Direct.
  • Right click and refresh the service instance.
