IT:AD:Infrastructure:IIS:Issues:Images and CSS not Showing Up

• New Server (and IIS)
• Installed new website, but CSS and images not showing up
• Using IE9 Developer tools, am seeing under [Script]/[Console] the following message:

Msg:

SEC7113: CSS was ignored due to mime type mismatch 
structure.css

The 'new Server/Computer' part is the probable culprit. * In Windows, Manage Computer, Roles, IIS Role, Common Http Features: * Ensure Serve Static is selected.

Had that issue once when setting up EES/VisaView on SKYDEV01. Worked like a charm.

THe alternate solution is a stretch – but could happen if your OS can't update itsef – and has to do with the MIME type:
