IT:AD:SysInternals:BgInfo

• In Start > All Users > Startup, place

Syntax:

bginfo [configuration file] [options]
/TIMER:nn
/POP
/TASKBAR
/ALL
/LOG:path
/SILENT
/RTF:path
/NOLICPROMPT

A solution is to:

• Create a directory (doesn't work under %system32%):

  `%WinDir%\BgInfo`

  • Ensure:Give it Full rights to all Authenticated Users
  • Create a shortcut in Startup All
    • Do not use /ALL, as it requires Admin rights
    • Starts in %sysinternals%
      

      `"%sysinternals%\Bginfo.exe " /i:%windir%\bginfo\bginfo.bgi /timer:0`

      • Run BGinfo, without admin rights, setup as desired.
      • Save Settings to %windir%\bginfo\bginfo.bgi
      • Save Background to same directory.
      • Close BgInfo
      • Run bginfo.bat file to check.
      • Logoff, Logon, and see what happens.
