Welcome
Welcome to my corner of the web, where I keep notes on the business of developing software based solutions that collect data and turn it into intuitively actionable information.
IT Sections
The IT section covers the whole process of Application Development, among other topics.
The Glossary is an organised entry point to notes on industry technologies, protocols and products, and business terms one hears.
Presentations
To take your time going over a presentation I have given, view it again on the Presentations page.
Blog
Or simply read the Blogs during my Pomodoro breaks between trying to find solutions to problems under lack of time, budget and your average IT duress.

Possible Translation: still blowing ones horn while going off to the bathroom.
“I am envious because I want to be as beautiful as you are; I want to have the fine clothes, the elegant house, the high position that you have. Being dissatisfied with what I am, I want to be like you; but, if I understood my dissatisfaction and its cause, then I would not want to be like you or long for the things that you have.
In other words, if once I begin to understand what I am, then I shall never compare myself with another or be envious of anyone. Envy arises because I want to change myself and become like somebody else. But if I say, “Whatever I am, that I want to understand,” then envy is gone; then there is no need of discipline, and out of the understanding of what I am comes integration.”
What I unfortunately am no longer amazed at is that NZ, as usual, has to show how “world class” it really is and put a spelling mistake in the only message of condolence they needed to get out this decade.

“Some call it a “necessary evil,” but if that’s the case let’s do all we can to make it unnecessary.”

- self-esteeming themselves first,
- while gaining social esteem but relying on it only as a check-sum of their own self-assessment,
- progressing at their achievable pace along the continuum of:
- selfish to selfless,
- unskilled to skilled,
- helpless to helpful
- to collectively improve the socioeconomic valuation of the country, which at its essence is the balance of its creativity versus its consumption of resources.
